How do I get access to my crypto assets?

You will continue to be able to manage and sell your crypto assets on the eToro platform (https://www.etoro.com/de/login). eToro remains your first point of contact for the management of your crypto assets.

Tangany does not offer a wallet app, web user interface or login accounts for end customers.

The eToro Wallet app is no longer available. Your crypto assets are now also available via the eToro platform.


What will change for me after Tangany takes over custody?

The change of custody will take place in the background. Nothing will change for you as an eToro customer. You will continue to manage your crypto assets via the eToro platform. Tangany cannot buy or sell assets on your behalf.


Is it possible to send my crypto assets from Tangany to private external wallets?

Withdrawals to regulated crypto custodians in Germany as well as to other wallet addresses (self-custody or foreign operators) is possible.

However, we strongly advise against this for security reasons and in view of the susceptibility to errors. 

There is a risk of irretrievable losses due to, among other things

  • Incorrect specification of the wallet address. 

  • Failure to specify the memo (exchange transfer).

  • A transfer instruction to an incompatible wallet (e.g. MATIC (ERC20) to a Polygon wallet).

As the customer, you are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information required for a successful transfer of your cryptocurrencies. 

Fees will be charged for successful withdrawals. Information about the fees and conditions can be found at https://tangany.com/withdrawal.


What processing time should I expect for a transfer?

The transfer process (including processing time) can take around ten working days.

  1. Identity verification: Your identity may be verified by telephone to avoid attempts at fraud. Please ensure that your contact details are correct and also accept calls from foreign numbers. The contact may be in English, but you can request to be called again in German.

  2. Verification time: Once the identity check has been completed, you will receive a confirmation email within ten working days. This email will be sent to you by eToro.

  3. Transfer time: Your crypto assets will be removed from your account approximately 24 hours before you receive the confirmation to avoid double withdrawals. Please refrain from making enquiries during this time.

Please be aware of these time frames and be ready for possible identity verification calls.


Will I incur any costs by my crypto assets being transferred to Tangany?

The custody of your crypto assets by Tangany does not incur you any costs. The transfer fee is 2% (min. 1 USD, max. 100 USD) + network fees.


Why does Tangany not support FIL, NEO, THETA and LUNC*?

Tangany does not support all cryptocurrencies currently offered by eToro for technological reasons. A transfer is therefore not possible for a few cryptocurrencies.

The delisting of assets is a normal process for exchanges. The provision of an asset for trading and custody is a costly process that is only worthwhile if there is sufficient demand.

*Only LUNA Classic is not supported. LUNA2 is supported.


Can IOTA be transferred to Tangany?

For technical reasons, it is not possible to transfer (M) IOTA to Tangany. eToro offers you the option to swap them into wrapped IOTA on the Binance Smart Chain (BEP-20 standard). Only wrapped IOTA can be transferred to Tangany.

If you agree to the swap, you do not need to do anything else. The process will be carried out automatically by eToro on 21/01/2024.
